No. The preliminary assessment only needs details you will typically know offhand or find in your purchase contract. Documents become relevant only if you commission an appraisal — and even then we tell you in advance which ones your case needs. We never require building authority records.
You receive an indication of whether a shortened remaining useful life is plausible for your property, along with a projection of your possible annual tax benefit. The preliminary assessment is not a substitute for an appraisal and is not legally binding.

No. You can use the preliminary assessment and leave it there. If the calculation shows an appraisal would not be worthwhile for you, we say so — that is exactly what the free upfront check is for.

If an appraisal is worthwhile you can commission it directly. As standard you receive it within 3–5 business days once we have all the information we need. It is prepared by experts certified to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024.
